Common Inkjet Printer errors include:

Paper Jams: Bits of torn paper or foreign objects in the feed path can lock up the printhead. Turn the printer off, unplug it, and check thoroughly using a flashlight.

Printhead Obstruction: If the printhead carriage is physically stuck or blocked, the printer throws a general error. Manually (and gently) push the carriage side to side to ensure it moves smoothly.

Unrecognized or Poorly Installed Ink Cartridges: If the printer cannot read the chip on the cartridge, it will fail. Take out all cartridges and firmly reinsert them until they click.

Outdated/Corrupted Print Spooler: Pending print jobs stuck in Windows/Mac memory can cause the printer to freeze in an error state. Clear your computer's print queue and restart both the computer and printer. 

Waste Ink Pad Full: Epson printers have internal pads to absorb excess ink. When full, the printer locks up to prevent spills. This often requires an authorized repair, a software reset, or professional service.
